Ever wondered to yourself, "Who blocked me on Facebook?" If so, you're certainly not alone. Facebook has taken strides to make blocking other people a top-secret matter on the social network, so definitely don't hold your breath waiting to get some kind of official notification. However, there are creative ways to determine if you might have been blacklisted — if you really want to know, that is.
Remember: Just because someone is no longer in your friends list does not necessarily mean they blocked you. The person in question may have shut down their account, or Facebook could have suspended it. You may have also simply been un-friended by them on Facebook — which you can easily find out if that is the case, for future reference.
Who blocked me on Facebook?
Search the person's name on the network. If someone's name does not show up in the search results, they may have blocked you — or they may have simply switched up their privacy setting. Try logging out of Facebook and doing a "public search" on their name again. If their name appears in the public search but not your private one from your own account, it's safe to say that you've been blocked. Sorry!
Find a mutual friend of the person you suspect blocked you and check out their profile. If you know someone who was also friends with the person, check out their friends list. If the person's name still appears in the list, you have not been blocked. However, if the person's name doesn't show up, you can try logging out of Facebook to see if the mutual friend lists their friends publicly. If that's the case, and if the person's name only appears on the list in public viewing, then chances are high they blocked you after all.
Check your old wall posts from them. If the person in question ever posted on your wall, you can check to see if their posts still display normally. If the person's profile photo appears as a question mark and/or the person's name appears in black, non-clickable text, they have probably blocked you.
Knowledge is power — but again, only if you really want to know!
