This teaches you how to create a free, two-answer survey on Facebook. You can create a survey on both the Facebook website and the Facebook mobile app. Keep in mind that Facebook surveys are restricted to two answers (no more, no fewer) of less than 26 characters each.
Steps

On Desktop
- 1Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ in your computer's web browser. This will open your Facebook News Feed if you're logged in.
- If you aren't logged in, enter your email address and password before proceeding.
- 2Click ⋯. It's below the "Make Post" text box near the top of the News Feed. Doing so opens a new post window.
- 3Click Poll. You'll find this option below the "What's on your mind?" text box.
- 4Create your poll question. Type your poll's question into the main status text box.
- 5Enter the first poll answer. Click the "Option 1" text box, then type in an answer.
- Your answer must be under 25 characters in length.
- 6Enter the second poll answer. You'll do this in the "Option 2" text box.
- 7Add photos if you like. If you want to use photos for your poll, click the "Photos" icon to the right of your first answer, select a photo, and then repeat for your second answer.
- 8Change the poll's timespan if necessary. By default, your poll will be active for one week. You can change this by clicking the 1 weekbox and then selecting a different time frame.
- If you want to create a custom timespan for the poll, click Custom, then click a day on which you want to end the poll.
- 9Click Post. It's at the bottom of the window. Doing so will post your poll on your profile page.

On Mobile
- 1Open Facebook. Tap the Facebook app icon, which resembles a white "f" on a dark-blue background. Doing so opens your News Feed page if you're logged in.
- If you aren't logged in, enter your email address and password before proceeding.
- 2Tap the "What's on your mind?" text box. This box is at the top of the News Feed page. The Status box will open.
- 3Scroll down and tap Poll. It's near the bottom of the list of posting options.
- 4Tap the "Ask a question…" text box. This is the Status box in which you'd usually type a post. Your smartphone's on-screen keyboard will appear.
- 5Enter your question. Type in whatever you want to ask your Facebook friends.
- 6Add the first poll answer. Tap the "Option 1" text box, then type in whatever answer you want people to be able to select.
- 7Add the second poll answer. You'll do this in the "Option 2" text box.
- 8Select photos for your answers if you like. If you want to add a photo to an answer, tap the "Add Photo" icon to the right of an answer, tap Upload a Photo, and then select a photo from from your camera roll.
- 9Change the poll's timespan if necessary. By default, polls last for one week; if you want to change this, tap the "Poll Ends" drop-down box, then tap a different time span in the pop-up menu.
- If you want to add a custom timespan, tap Custom, then select an expiration date.
- 10Tap Share. It's in the top-right corner of the screen. Doing so will post the poll on your Facebook profile page.
- On Android, you'll tap POST in the top-right corner of the screen.
